Joseph Walker was born on 30 January 1795 in Bartlett, Carroll, New Hampshire.³⁴⁴ He was baptized in August 1797 at Conway Congregational Church in Conway, Carroll, New Hampshire.⁵⁸² He along with his brother Timothy, Jr., conveyed by mortgage deed 75 acres of land, part of lots 57, 64, 56, and 65, to Thomas L. Winthrop of Boston for consideration of $350. on 11 October 1822 in Fairfax [Albion], Kennebec, Maine. Joseph died in 1875 at the age of 80 in Ashland, Aroostook, Maine. He was buried at Gardner Memorial Cemetery in Ashland, Aroostook, Maine.

Joseph Walker and Esther Rankin had marriage banns published on 5 August 1817 in Fairfax [Albion], Kennebec, Maine.⁶¹⁵ They⁶¹⁵ had marriage banns published on 29 September 1817 in Freedom, Waldo, Maine. They were married on 29 September 1817. Esther Rankin, daughter of Constant Rankin and Mary Tolman, was born on 24 April 1791 in Rockland, Knox, Maine. She died in 1876 at the age of 85 in Ashland, Aroostook, Maine.
