3. Capt. Samuel Walker was born about 1615 in England.3,4,5,6 He immigrated on 12 July 1637 to Massachusetts Bay Colony.7 He lived as a follower of the Rev. John Wheelwright in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire from November 1637 to January 1644/5.7 Samuel signed the Exeter Combination on 4 July 1639 in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire. He was made freeman on 17 April 1644 at Piscataqua Court in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire.8,9,10 He lived in Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts from January 1644/5 to 1654.7 Samuel lived in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts from 1654 to 1684.7 In April 1662 he was a licensed as a maltster in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts. From April 1674 to April 1682 he was a licensed innkeeper of the Ark Tavern at 616 Main Street in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts. Samuel was a Commissioner of the Rate in 1683 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.11 He died on 6 November 1684 at the age of 69 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.6,12,13,14

Capt. Samuel Walker and his first wife were married about 1642 in Exeter, Rockingham, New Hampshire.15 His first wife was born estimated 1622 in probably England. She died after 1661 at the age of 39 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.16,17 She was likely the daughter of an early settler of Exeter.

15iii.Hannah Walker was born on 11 April 1647 in Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts.18,19 She died on 28 April 1648 at the age of 1 in Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts.20,21

19vii.Benjamin Walker was born on 4 June 1651 in Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts.21,22,23 He died on 26 April 1653 at the age of 1 in Reading, Middlesex, Massachusetts.21,24

Capt. Samuel Walker and Ann (Sheldon) Alger25 were married about 1677 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.26,27,28 Ann (Sheldon) Alger, daughter of Godfrey Sheldon and Alice Frost, was born about 1630 in Bakewell Parish, Derbyshire, England.29 She died on 21 March 1716 at the age of 86 in Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts.14,21 She was the widow of Lieut. Arthur Alger of Scarborough, Maine.
