Merithew, daughter of Jeremiah Cilles Merithew and Bathsheba Jane Smart, was born on 22 March 1840 in Prospect, Waldo, Maine. She was also known as Mary G. Merithew in 1860. She died on 23 March 1904 at the age of 64 in Island Falls, Aroostook, Maine.
