Sixth Generation


1640. Benson Walker (possible twin) was born on 20 June 1824 in Freedom, Waldo, Maine.820 He purchased a portion of lot 35 in the fourth division of lots (Ward 4) from Charles Moore on 17 November 1848 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. He appeared in the census on 25 August 1850 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. Benson appeared in the census in 1855 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. He registerred for U.S. Civil War draft on 1 July 1863 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. He served in the military Co. H. 14th Reg. Me. Vol. Inf. on 15 August 1864. Benson was described as Complexion: Fair; Eyes: Blue; Occupation: Ship carpenter; Hair: Brown; Ft.: 6; In.: 1 on 15 August 1864. He sold a portion of lot 35 in the fourth division of lots (Ward 4) to Aaron N. Smart on 1 November 1869 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. He died from an accident on 27 November 1889 at the age of 65 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine.821,822 Benson was buried at Grove Cemetery in Belfast, Waldo, Maine.

Benson Walker (possible twin) and Catherine Prior were married on 18 August 1855 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.823 They823 appeared in the census on 8 August 1860 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. They appeared in the census on 6 June 1870 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. Benson and Catherine appeared in the census on 7 June 1880 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. Catherine Prior, daughter of John Prior, was born on 15 December 1832 in New York.820 She appeared in the census on 15 June 1900 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. She died on 6 November 1901 at the age of 68 in Belfast, Waldo, Maine. Catherine was buried at Grove Cemetery in Belfast, Waldo, Maine.
